You want the best video production company working for you, so its only natural that we have the very best people working for us. That means people with experience, talent, skills and a track record.

When it comes to crew we have people who are at the top of their game. Not only at the top of their game in corporate video production, but at the top of the game in television, commercials, feature films and pop promos. On your shoot you may have a cameraman who just shot a Stella Artois commercial, a lighting man who just worked on Jamiroquai's latest pop video or a sound recordist from the latest BBC drama. Scott Horsfield, Senior Producer

Scott graduated from Cass Business School and went straight into the financial information industry with a French company named Ubiqus.  He soon became the UK manager of PRLine, a press release distribution agency.  As well as establishing the UK presence of PRLine he set-up a product called UbiqusFT, whcih distributed transcripts of financial meetings.   

He went on to work for CCBN, the leading US provider of online investor relations and corporate disclosure services, where he helped develop a series of products that summarised the contents of earnings conference calls which were made available to the market soon after the call was finished.  He went on to help establish the European operations of CCBN and Streetevents and left before the company was acquired by Thomson Financial. 

He has always had an avid interest in video production as both a business tool and as a source of entertainment.  He has produced a wide variety of business videos with varying budgets and has won awards as a filmmaker.  Scott has had films shown at international film festivals including Cannes. 

Scott oversees all the videos produced at VBM and is responsible for sales and marketing.

 

Mark Rutherford, Senior Producer

Mark began his career as a student of classical guitar and classical music theory.  After graduation he teamed up with Steve Levine, Culture Club producer, and began playing for and composing a variety of television and film projects as well as achieving top-ten hits.  He went on to establish his own recording facilities at William Orbit’s studio and soon began remixing, co-producing and co-writing with Orbit.  They collaborated on projects for Bassomatic, Strange Cargo, Beth Orton, Yothu Yindi, The Christians, Peter Gabriel, The Cure and Psychic TV. 

During this period Mark began working with the artist Goldie.  This alliance led to the creation of a completely new sound, paving the way for what we now know as Drum & Bass.  Peter Gabriel then asked Mark to write and produce an album using contributions from a variety of artists at Gabriel’s Real World Recording Studios.

Mark has also produced, written and remixed for artists as diverse as Mike Oldfield, Daniel Lanois, Peter Gabriel, Jospeh Arthur and Einsturzende Neubauten to name just a few. 

Mark has written and produced for film and television.  He has composed for and played on soundtracks as diverse as ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles,’  ‘Eversmile  New Jersey,’ ‘Mister Frost,’ ‘This is Not a Love Song’ and ‘Foula’.  Other commissions have included commercials for Sanatogen and L’Oreal, several BBC trailers and promotional pieces for MTV, ITV and Channel 4.

Mark is senior producer and creative director at VBM and is responsible for all things audio related from recording, to composing and mixing.
